ABOUT TRINA
Hi, I'm Trina Radcliffe.
I’m 46 years old, born and raised in small-town Alberta where sport, music, community, and the outdoors shaped who I am. I grew up playing competitive sports and went on to become a women’s hockey student-athlete for four years in the ACAC at Mount Royal College (University). An experience that built discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for structure, accountability and learning from amazing mentors, coaches and teammates.
My Story
Throughout my adult life, I’ve battled weight and self-image challenges. I’ve navigated mental health struggles. I’ve experienced the quiet identity shifts that come with midlife, career transitions, and found my confidence through personal reinvention.
And I’ve done the work. With the help of my own coaches. Not perfectly. Not all at once. But consistently.
Today, I stand in a place of confidence, courage, and lived experience — not because the journey was easy, but because I stayed committed to growth.
That’s why Be Rad Coaching exists.
I am a confidence coach helping others move past self doubt, reclaim their identity and live their raddest lives! High school to post-secondary, post-secondary to career, athlete to professional, version 1.0 to 2.0.
My career in sport began with Hockey Canada as Coordinator of Women’s Hockey and later as Manager of Female Hockey Development. Over 7+ years I had the opportunity to travel across Canada and internationally during two Olympic cycles, witnessing rapid growth in the women’s game. I helped build resources on educational pathways for girls pursuing post-secondary hockey, mentored coaches, and worked to open doors for women in all areas of the sport.
After time in the non-profit sector, my path came full circle when I became Manager of Athletics at Olds College within the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). In that role, I had the opportunity to guide coaches and student-athletes through the highs and lows of collegiate athletics and academics — pressure, identity shifts, setbacks, leadership, relationships and growth. I’ve also had the privilege of mentoring coaches, helping them build confidence, clarity, and strength in their leadership.
Transformation happens in transition. And I will be in transformation and transition right along with you as I challenge myself on this new journey.
With the right habits, accountability, and support, those transitions don’t have to break you, they will build you.
And I’m here for it.
If you’re standing at the edge of change and unsure of your next step, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
If this resonates, let’s explore whether we’re the right fit.
